歐盟 EU 1169 食品資訊法規對食品製造商及零售商之影響
隨著食品供應鏈愈趨全球化，當中引發的食品及添加物安全風險亦隨之而增加。現今，食品在世界各國不同的監管制度和安全標準下生產、加工及包裝，而食品在全球各地出售前亦經由不同的中間商、物流商、運輸業者進行跨境運輸和儲存，其全球供應鏈的複雜性往往讓食品安全體系上容易產生漏洞，而產生風險。由於近年連串食品安全事件的影響，加速了各國政府，食品業界和消費者對食物品質及安全的關注，就如何提升食品的可追溯性和建立由農場到餐桌的供應鏈透明度，以重建消費者的信任尤為重要。
2011 年 11 月，歐盟發表了新的法規－EU 1169 食品資訊法規。EU 1169 將於 2014 年 12 月 13 日生效，未能提供符合法規的產品，就不能進口歐盟及在歐洲於電子商務網站售賣。EU 1169 之目的是確保消費者，能清楚了解營養價值、材料成分、產地來源及食用方法等商品資訊，選購產品時能有所依據。
