2026 Asia Biotech Expo affirms Taiwan's innovative capabilities in biotechnology and showcasing its comprehensive industrial strength from R&D and clinical trials to international expansion.

2026 BIO Asia-Taiwan Exhibition introduced about Taiwan's latest achievements in biotechnology, precision health, clinical translation, smart healthcare, technology research and development, and the international layout of the biomedical industry. Many participants and visitors interacted with exhibitors, gaining firsthand knowledge of the latest developments in Taiwan's biotechnology industry and showcasing Taiwan's continuous innovation and its strength in connecting with international markets.

This year's BIO Asia-Taiwan Exhibition, themed "Asian Inspiration, Global Impact" brings together 22 countries. 900 companies, and 2.300 booths, covering the entire biotechnology industry chain, including new drug development, CDMO, biotechnology services, precision medicine, regenerative medicine, smart healthcare, and pharmaceutical equipment. It continues to build an important platform for biotechnology exchange and business cooperation in Asia.

The event shared the information about the government's "Healthy Taiwan" policy, achievements in medical care, disease prevention, and the strengthening of the public health system. Participants also gained insights Into the latest advancements in vaccines, cancer, infectious diseases, elderly health, precision medicine, and public health research, showcasing the government's continued efforts to support health policies through scientific research and promote public health.

Following this, the academic and research institutions such as China Medical University, Taipei Medical University, and the Biomedical Translational Research Center of Academia Sinica, show their strengths of Taiwan's comprehensive RBLD capabilities, from basic research and medical education to Al-driven drug development clinical trials, and biomedical translation. The clinical trial alliance, the integration of Al into new drug development, and translation platforms that facilitate the connection between research findings and clinical applications and commercialization fully demonstrated Taiwan's continuous efforts to enhance its international competitiveness in medical innovation and biomedical RBLD.

Regarding government-led research and industrial development,  the joint exhibition booth of the Department of industrial Technology,  Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Industrial Development Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs, and the National Science Council (NSC), demonstrated how the government, through research corporations, science parks, and industrial policies, assisting companies in promoting technology research and development, technology transfer, regulatory guidance, market expansion, and international cooperation, so as to build a complete biomedical innovation ecosystem, accelerating the commercialization and industrialization of innovative technologies,
and driving the continuous upgrading of Taiwan's biomedical industry.
